Duke Nukem occurs as platform game developed by Apogee Software, featuring the escapade of Duke Nukem. A game was freed in July 1, 1991.

Nukem or Nukum?
Fallowing a game release Apogee became caring of an additional Duke Nukem character, in the Captain Planet and the Planeteers cartoon series. Apogee believed that TBS/DiC, creators of the series, held the rights to the Duke Nukem title, & to make sure your not the suit Apogee's game was renamed Duke Nukum within version Ii.Nought of the game. It late turned out that Duke Nukem was non the registered title, & Apogee registered it, using the original Duke Nukem title in the sequels.

Sequels
Duke Nukem was followed by Duke Nukem II, and Duke Nukem 3D. As of 2005, a third sequel, proclaimed within 1997Duke Nukem Forever—is still within development.
